What is the name of your state? Florida

I hate my home, it's a hellhole. I'd do anything to get out of this. My mother has passed away and I am currently living with my dad, his girlfriend, and my little brother. I don't think I can take living in this house anymore and I don't have much family in my local area. I do have family but overseas U.S. territory and I don't want to sacrifice what I have here (education, etc.) because my dad isn't letting me live a peaceful life.

I don't know what I can do from here. I'd like to move out but I definetly don't have the time to get a good job and I don't drive yet (15). Can I move out and get monthly support from my dad? I have heard of other people filing petitions against their parents even as a minor.

Thanks in advance.

Generally, someone your age cannot get emancipation. You are still just too young to be able to take care of yourself as an adult. You are too young to drive, too young to get a job, too young to sign an apartment lease or get utilities in your name, too young to open a bank account on your own, and too young to legally quit school -which you DON'T want to do anyways.....you'd be throwing your whole future away! Living on your own is hard stuff! Think about it......How would you be able to go to school and work full-time? How would you get yourself there anyways? If you can't drive, how would you get yourself to someplace as basic as the grocery store for your food? Where would you live? A 15-yr old cannot rent an apartment. When would you have time to study or just hang with your friends?

Try to get some counseling to deal with your mother's death and the new changes in your life. Go to your school counselor. Get involved with some fun after school extra-curricular activities. Talk to your dad and step-mother about your frustrations and concerns and develop a living plan you can all work with to get along and make your home a happy place. Then go to the mall with your girlfriends and just have fun being a teenager!

You seem to have misunderstood me.

I'm not quitting school nor get a fulltime job. I would like to receive monthly support from my father and simply just be out of the house. I just hate living here and most of the stuff you mentioned, much easier said than done.

LOL Then you'll need his permission.
