Can I sue in small claims a person who made a false police report against me resulting in a trespassing ticket? I got an attorney, paid her $500, then the night before the trial I was informed they wre dropping the charge because the accuser would not come into court to testify. I guess she and her family didn't want to get caught lying under oath. I want to sue and get my $500 attorney fee back, and also sue for defamation, liable/slander. Do I stand a chance of winning against this liar?

Most small claim courts do not allow recovery for slander, defamation, etc. They are considered 'money' courts only.

And, you can certainly sue them in that forum for the 'damages' that you have incurred due to their malicious prosecution.
