What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? California

Last night at 8:12pm I was pulled over by a City PD officer for "excessive acceleration" during the writing of the ticket the officer made conversation by asking where I worked so I stated I worked at a local night club and also said that I know quite a few of the graveyard officers because we employee three on site. Well I signed the ticket and went on my way, an hour later I received a call from the owner of the bar yelling and almost threatning my job because that officer went to the club shortly after writing the ticket and talked to one of my supervisors stating that I said "Do you know who I am, I shouldn't be written this ticket because I pay your guys overtime (the police officers) to be at the club".

Basically what I would like to know is if I have a case of Slander and/or Defamation of Character or possibly harassment against the police officer/police department.

Thanks
-Rick

**A: there is a lot more to this story.
What I stated is it, officer asked where I worked and I stated the club and also went into saying that I know a lot of the 3rd shift officers because we pay the PD for their overtime to be there. He then went to the club and told the supervisor what I stated above in my first post.

If this is not slander or defamation I would at least say its police misconduct?

**A: no, it did not go down just like that. I would like to hear the cops side of the story.

Well I doubt I'm going to be able to get the officers statement for this website. But based on my statement which I say to be true and correct what is your thought? If you believe I do not have a case I would like a little more detailed information on why you came to this conclusion.

so what are your damages even if what you posted is 100% true?

You were trying to get out of the ticket by telling the cop your club pays OT for 3 of his buddies, right?

Correct, but does that give him the right to go into my work and make false statements? And as far as damages, nothing from what I can see as of right now but I do see my work being an uncomfortable environment since he did that.
