Sue seller in small claims?

My attorney is worthless in helping me. Total I want from the seller is about $3K for things that were supposed to be corrected by closing and were not and I was lied to by the seller that they were. The problems were uncovered during the course of a few weeks afger I moved in.

Can I sue this seller in small claims court without a lawyer?
