What is the name of your state? Maryland

Just recently found out that a well know martial arts teacher representing a USA association used his influence and started an affaire with my wife that ended up with them sleeping together. Now we are looking at divorce. I have proof of emails where he starts "making her feel like they were made for each other" then finally reminiscence of the night together. She has also admitted to sleeping with him, to me and to our marriage councilor. (but now she is denying what she said) He is not interested in her only in getting what he wanted. I feel that he has miss represented the association, taken advantage of his position and miss conducted himself with a female student. Now we/I will be having financial hardship because we can no longer be in the same room together and we will separate and possibly divorce. I would like to sue the association and him (president of the association) for miss representation and hardship he has brought to me, my wife and two children. Is this possible?

It takes 2 to have sex.

I know it is hard to see when you are hurting.
I agree on one point. Teachers in a public Ind school district, Univ prof ect do have a moral reponsibilty to keep off the students ect**************but when I was a Karate instructor in College, I had many a over 21 year old females come on to me ect**************remember both parties are at fault moraly if you will but as far as in the courts ect no chance. Now your wife can have adultry charges.....but in these times good luck**************now don't call this guy out or you can and will get the stuffing kicked out of your ego and your face....

!st dan the man.

What this is called is an "alienation of affection" action.

An action for alienation of affections "arose when a person induced a married woman to leave her husband or otherwise interfered with the marital relationship, even though no act of adultery was committed." Kline v. Ansell, 287 Md. 585, 590, 414 A.2d 929, 932 (1980). It was abolished by the Maryland Legislature in 1945 because "[t]he Legislature found that the action had been 'subjected to grave abuses, causing extreme annoyance, embarrassment, humiliation and pecuniary damage to many persons wholly innocent and free of any wrongdoing, who were merely the victims of circumstances . . . .'" Gasper, 73 Md. App. at 370, 533 A.2d at 1359 (quoting Chapter 1010 of the Laws of 1945). Criminal conversation is the act of engaging in sexual intercourse with the wife of another. The cause of action for criminal conversation was abolished by the Maryland Court of Appeals in 1980 in Kline.

Unfortunately for you, Maryland (along with most other states in the country) have abolished this as a viable lawsuit. Doe v. Doe (2000), 358 Md. 113, 747 A.2d 617.

You have no case.
