What is the name of your state? vt....I am meeting with my attorney at 1:00 today. If I don't get answers before then, I understand this post was fast. Anyways, I am now meeting with her again in regards to my standing with the school and my son's step mother signing as guardian and parent along with the father and my name is non existent. What are good questions to ask in regards to my rights as mom to my son and being left out of the loop on school information for the last 4 years. The school to this day has not set up a time or conference even though since August I have been requesting it. Thanks soooo much, Faith

explain the situation and then ask her what you can do to make sure you are included and that your role is not usurped by stepmom -- a legal stranger.

Why oh why oh why is it so difficult to just tack this onto one of your (many) other threads? People would likely come up with lots of ideas for you, if they had easy access to the situation.

Faith has been asked 100x to stop with the multi-thread=same issue crap. She just won't do it...Perhaps if she didn't get any advice on the NEW threads she would stop??

FERPA gives you LEGAL Rights & Access to all your child's educational/medical/legal records. If you need a form to give them, there is one available at deltabravo.net

I would approach the situation with the records as concern, ie; should there be an Emergency - the PARENTS of the child need to be notified.
