richard of California who has an acquired brain injury that affects his cognitive ability was taken advantage of by his hired attorney who handled his divorce case. this attorney did not secure vital things for him such as his continuing medical coverage which was agreed upon w/ his ex-wife and the quadro pro (retirement)issue. the attorney, without richards consent, agreed to richard having to wait 3 years (without interest) before receiving his part of the community property. I & richard's family recently found out what happend and want him to sue in small claims for return of attorney fees, $3,000 interest for his 3 year wait & discrimination of a disabled person. this amount exceeds California's small claims court in which the defendant only can appeal. richard being disabled & low-income could not represent himself against the attorney anyway. for above reasons it would be best to file in superior court, but we need an attorney for him and right now he does not have the money. each time i call a legal resource for the low-income they tell me that they do not have the funds to review his case. heck, I will represent him if I have to, or if am allowed. this man is truly a good man who has been taken advantage of too many times due to his aquired brain injury. Can someone advice us of an attorney who can advise us?

Suing an attorney

to: i am always liable

would you be so kind to at least comment on the merits of this case? Strictly opinion only.

If richard can't get legal representation, due to the
fact that most lawyers won't accept because the 3K amount
is not worth their time and our county legal Aid states they don't have the funds to review his divorce, could I speak for him in court, since he has difficulty with communicating verbal ideas due to his disability?

what statments will a judge allow objections to in court?

I am not an attorney,(obviously) but I will begin my
first semester in a paralegal program this fall. I am
able however to recognize a potential case that holds
merit as this does. Thanks.
