We purchased our home in Illinois one year ago with a FHA Loan. We are now trying to sell due to employment relocation. We had an offer contingent on buyer obtaining FHA financing. The bank appraiser informed us that we are on a Superfund site and FHA will not back a loan for this property. This was not disclosed to us when we obtained FHA financing. Do we have legal recourse against the seller, real estate agent, or appraiser who appraised the property for our FHA loan?
