I live in North Carolina. I'm scared to file for legal separation because my husband is abusive towards our one year old son. Social services has been called once by my mother, but he hasn't been "extremely" abusive since then but has threatened and intends to raise our son in an unseemly manner. That's one reason I want a divorce, the other is he's not being faithful.

Anything I can do?
