Can anyone tell me what the general contractors responsibilites would be in a generic "Supply and Supervise" construction contract. Obviously the general contractor would be responsible for supplying the material. Under the supervise portion, I assume he would be responsible for supervising any subcontractors involved in installing the materials. Would he be somewhat of a Quality Assurance person providing overview of the installation and ensuring that work was completed in accordance with the spec, or would he actually be providing supervision on site to the subcontractors doing the work?
