What is the name of your state? NJ I would like to know if you get credIt for "support" prior to the actual order being set. Iam not looking for back support prior to order being set but ex is looking for credit from prior to established support. He wants credit for household items purchased ,vet bills, etc. Nothing of which has anything to do with the child. He wants credit to lower his arrears that where figured from after the temporary established support to when the final number is at now. In a nut sell filed for support march 2001, from December 1999 til 2001 no etablished support he threww me something her or ther or out of guilt did work on my house, from January 2002 to March 2001 arrears where calculated. He wants credit for work done on house from1999 to 2001 . Iam not looking for anything prior to temporary support to final support. Will the judge back tract and rework his numbers to give such credits when this was already in court in January 2002?...

Oh please

Working on your house isn't "child support". Paying vet bills isn't "child support" unless you somehow miraculously had a litter of puppies instead of a child. Child support is a monetary amount awarded to the CP for the child. Sometimes, things such as paying for medical costs for the child and child care are calculated into the CS order, and credit is given for those. If the arrears were figured from the temp order on, then he was ordered THEN to pay money, and didn't. Money... not carpentry work. He has noone to blame but himself for being in arrears. I dont think he can get any credit for that at all.
