my husband left me 3 years ago and has now filed for divorce. He refuses to give me alimony and said he does not have to because our income is below 16,000.00 His divorce claims he abandoned me and I will not divorce him without alimony can he divorce me without my consent? We were married in New York. Can I get alimony?

First, someone purporting to be your husband writes a post (and now that post has disappeared), and now you, the purported wife, are now writing.

What is this? Dueling computers? Or, are you one person who is writing from both ends of the candle ?
