I had aa baby 042000 I had my tubes tied thee same day. Permenantly. Five months later I was pregnant in the tubes wwith twins. One baby in each tube. Can;t explain how or why. Lost time at work. Did not get married Finace thought I lied about beind permenantly fixed. I was told by one lawyer that IT would taake ten years to try a caase like this. Love some in put.

Your lawyers advice is probably correct, but not complete. Not only will it take a long time, but it will be VERY expensive (medical experts, when you can find them are BIG bucks).

And, though I am not a medical expert by any means, I would assume that your doctor had you sign the appropriate releases for the ligation, and it probably includes 'out' clauses, such as: prevention of pregnancy not guaranteed, medical complications, etc. An attorney would have to look at the entire medical case history before determining whether there is even a cause of action.

Regretably, this is probably NOT a simple case of malpractice, which would probably make this very expensive and time consuming litigation.
