Is it true that if I made more money than my husband last year my children his stepchildren are not eligible for benefits. I am not currently working.

For a stepchild to be entitled to survivor benefits, the stepparent must have been providing 1/2 support at the time of his death. Or in the 12 months before. Do the stepchildren receive any child support? It is not easy to prove 1/2 support.
