I need help. In April, 2000, my family and I moved into a new home. My dad was having a swimming pool installed. The contractor told us we would not need a retaining wall. We put up a fence. We have had so many problems with them. The owner says he doesnt have to talk to us because it is not in our contract that he has too. My Dad died in may workign in the yard covering the mud because the pool electricians left him and told him he had to drain the pool. My dad should have never had to drain the pool. Now we are left alone. We have had a land slide because they covered our grass with dirt and now have 2 inches of mud in the bottom of our pool. the secretary tells us what the pool company says about us. we have a rip in the liner that they say they will fix after summer. It is a new pool. It shouldnt have a rip in it. Joey, the "seller" did it. What can I do!!!!

My condolences on your father's death. Forgetting the repair costs, etc. it seems to me that in the hands of a good personal injury or accident lawyer this just may be a case where there would be a claim for your father's wrongful death; if he was fixing a hazardous condition that the contractor should have fixed but refused to do, I wonder if you may have a MAJOR claim rather than the relatively small one. Speak to a lawyer or two NOW -- the initial consultation will be FREE, and if the lawyer takes the case there will be no fee unless there is a recovery. Start with http://AttorneyPages.com.
