My neighbor is installing a swimming pool 18 feet from my lot line. He apparently has been approved by township to do this. Don't I have any rights as a neighbor and property owner of land closely adjacent to the pool site. This will create noise and disburances beyond belief when I am trying to use my deck for relaxation and/or entertaining. Where are my rights to privacy?

If the pool is allowed by the local law, and he is going to comply with the law in all details -- such as fencing, shrubs, etc -- that's the end of the issue.

You should have bought 10 acres if you wanted more privacy -- what anout his rights to use his land in a legal manner?

You might put up your own legal fence, shrubs, etc to start to block the view and noise.
