What is the law in California regarding swimming pools? Is the landlord supposed to make sure there is a fence around the pool for childrens saftey? Or is it just a fence around the house to block out the neighbors.

Thanks

Swimming Pool ettiquette....

Check with your local city/county health department. They make these rules. Fences are usually required by the landlord's insurance company so that uninvited persons don't fall in and drown (and make a mess). Most landlords/mgmt will have appropriate rules for conduct at the pool and a limit on the number of guests residents can bring.
