I have spent the last year straightening myself out and am finally beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel. Today however i received a phone call and it was a recorded message leaving me a toll free number to call but no extension. It said it was not a sales call but a personal matter. I called the number and it's a call center based in Costa Rica, and the girl couldn't tell me anything. She asked me if they left an extension, but they didn't, just a number. I'm a nervous wreck now thinking there's something out there I forgot about, paranoia I guess. Have any of you ever heard of Sykes? She did finally tell me that it could have been a wrong number but that isn't easing my nerves any.

They run call centers and have an office in Costa Rica. I don't think they do collections but I could be wrong.

Turns out it was a call about an IT question I had asked online. I guess old habits die hard, always assuming the worst. I've spent the past year paying all my debts and I guess there's a part of me that will always think that if you start to think everything is going to be okay, something else will hit you. I'm proud of myself though, I didnt default on one single debt, I'm paying every penny back. I've also found out that so far, all my creditors have been more than happy to work with me on paying them back. Maybe it's been my attitude, maybe I just got lucky, I don't know but when I got that call I just panicked.
