I was recently dropped to Part Time status by my employer. One of the consequences of this action was that the sick time that I had accrued from full time work last year (40 Hrs) was removed. There was no warning or notice that this was going to occur. The 40 Hrs has been on every paycheck since the beginning of the year. I feel that I earned this time from my full time work, and that it is wrong to take it away. Is it illegal to take accrued sick time?
