Taking back vacation time

At a local factory there are problems with people not getting any time off. My husband has worked all of November and was looking forward to a four day weekend for Thanksgiving, but today he was informed that he would have to work Friday, Staurday and Sunday. Can they do this??

Barring a bona fide contract that guarantees him those days off, yes, they can.
