What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? PA
I have an appeal hearing on Friday for my property taxes filed bythe municipality in Pittsburgh, PA. I have been out of town and did not recieve the notice until today and do not have time to file for a postponment. I bought my house in June of 2010 formuch more than the current assesment. What evidence can I present to prevent my taxes from being raised?

You purposely paid more than the property's fair market value?

I mean... It's kind of difficult to argue that the property's value is far less than what you paid for it.
