What is the name of your state? TX

I have been paying child support since 5-05, and still owe back child support, however the amount that I have calculated is different than the Child Support Recovery office has calculated. I have court documents that back up my calculations and believe that the person(s) at Child Support Recovery did not read the court documents correctly and therfor calculated the amounts incorrectly. I have been talking to the Child Support Recovery for over 6 weeks and am not getting anywhere. I do not want to file my income taxes until I have this corrected in fer of losing my return to this in amounts that I do not owe. Are there any steps I can take to get this resolved? Can I file an extension to file taxes due to this? Are there any other agencies that Ican contact to help me resolve.

I live in TX, Child Support is ordered thru IA.
I calculate that I should be about $500 behind.
Child Support Recovery says I owe over $7000.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

You can file a 6 month automatic extension for any reason or no reason at all. This will give you until Oct 15 to resolve the issue.
