Just wondering, just had my tax done by a cpa , looks like I'll be paying
social security, I thought as a self emplyed person that we are exempt from paying ss taxes ?
That is simply untrue. Self Employed actually pay all their own SS and Medicare taxes, whereas employed persons pay only half, and the employer pays the other half.
