My girlfriend & I would like to get married soon, but I have been in the "final stages" of an 'offer & compromise' because of back taxes. The IRS will not let me know how long it will be until this is resolved. Would it be foolish to get married now, would the IRS change the amount of the 'offer & compromise', if they were to find out I married someone & could access her money?
We live in Washington State.
Thank-you
