I filed bankruptcy in October of 2005. My court date is February 14th. I want to know if I am due a refund from my taxes do I get to keep it? Also, in order to re-establish credit, what is the best way to go about it? I looked into getting a secured credit card. Also, my boyfriend wanted me to findout if we got a joint credit card (he has great credit) would that help my credit, and would it hurt his?

Filing as late in the year as you did, there's a chance the trustee will want some of the refund. They'll let you know at the 341 meeting or shortly thereafter.
