I attend a trade school here. Recently, one of my instructors sent this message out to the entire class:
You all passed the mental health exam 55 possible. Whomever missed the test I have to give you another one. Because the test has been taken and it was very easy and the responses I am sure have been discussed.
I angrily responded with this:
"FYI: I have not in any shape, form or fashion discussed the exam with anyone in the class. I do not appreciate you implying otherwise. I can honestly say that every grade (good or bad) that I've made in the class I did on my own. So, if you feel the need to remake a test for me, that's fine. Besides, No weapon formed against me shall prosper anyway. Frankly, I rejoice in the fact that every spiteful and hateful deed that you try to bring against me or any of my classmates will return to you ten fold. "
She admitted to sending the email out knowing that I was the only student who had not take the exam. Also, in the entire four months that I was in her class, no new exam was made for a student that missed an exam, even though it is school policy to do so. Secondly, there was never an email sent out threatening to make a new test either.
We ended up going before the director of the school because the instructor and her assistant for that term wanted be kicked out of school for responding to the email. I wasn't kicked out, but I was suspended for 4 days, not because of the email, but because the instructers said I was disrupting the class by #1) "trying to get the other students on my side" and #2) "not telling the instructor where I am going."
Legally, what can I do about this because I feel that I was wronged by the teacher as well as by the director of the school.
