What is the name of your state?TN

My wife attends a technical college in Tn and what she has gone through from the start of school has aggrevated her and I and also her fellow students to the point of them all wanting to quit the course (4 months to graduation) ..Here is the situation as short as i can make it .

She first heard about the school from a radio ad promising evening classes so you can work and still attend school to better yourself ...Not gettin into ALL the things that happen from the start of school to the point of breaking last week i will just explain what her and her fellow students were told on valentines day ...They have to do and internship at a local company as required by the course they are taking which isnt a problem for any of them ...what is the problem is that NOW after almost the whole year of the school putting off talk about the externship it now comes to light that the placement director has said they are to quit their jobs or make arrangements with their employers to be able to do 30 hours a week during the day (ie 8-5) or else they would FAIL the entire course and not be allowed to graduate ...when they originally went to sign up for this college they were all told externship will be during normal course hours which currently is between 5pm and 9pm ...This would cause more than a hardship for most of the students attending this school as they went to this particular class in the first place because of the fact they could do EVERYTHING at night when they were off work at their real job...The placement director has also threatened the students not to discuss this matter with anyone and that her word was final in this matter ...Is there some sort of legal action the students can take to make this school either change the internship (if it can be done it time ) as it is promised in a radio and television ad as flexible scheduling allowing you to work and go to school at the same time or some sort of compensation for the students that will ultimately lose their money paying jobs which support most of them .....Would this be considered breech of contract and false advertisement ??? any help would be greatly appreciated
