wow, i suggest doing background checks on all future babysitting employers.

The question is not whether they can do this to a minor, but can they do it to anyone. Of course they can do it to a minor. However, with any person, they are not allowed to use what is called "excessive force". This sounds like it may be excessive force to throw her down on the floor, especially if she was cooperating. The question is whether it is worth a lawsuit. Probably not if she did not have substantial injuries.

Without knowing the reason the search warrant was issued, or the outcome of the search, there is no way to determine if the people she was babysitting for have done anything wrong or as you suggest, allowed her to work in a hostile environment.

Hence, your suggestion is ridiculous at this point.
