I live in minnesota and have a temp hearing coming up. My stbx and I have one child 8 months old. Since I filed for divorce my stbx has cancelled my son and I on medical and dental insurance, quit his job, stopped paying child support to which he and his lawyer agreed upon, bought a new vehicle and not obiding by the visitation schedule we all agreed to. So my question is how much of this is handled in the temp hearing and how much of a wait from a temp hearing until the final divorce? Thank you much.

Up and coming

I'm no lawyer. I'm going through it now.
Fisrt the Temp hearing
2nd Divorcing seminar
3rd Discovery
4th Mediation
5th Pre trail Hearing
6th Trial Hearing
7th entrance of final Decree
the process will be about a month apart from each other unless you can agree on everything. If you or he is slow then it will take much longer. My stbx is doing lots of things to keep it going. The quicker you get everything settled the quicker the Divorce can move on. I started in February and I'm on my second Pretrail hearing because of the lies. so be honest and do lots of research.

Just make sure you inform the judge of the above. He will not take to kindly to the father doing this..
