What is the name of your state?CO
Its my daughters birthday, and i am driving all the way to their house to pick them up instead of meeting half way between both houses, because their grand parents live in the same town they live in, and I want them to see my daughter for her birthday.the BM is the type of person that will agree to something like this on the phone, but when the event happens will call the police and say that she never agreed to it, and drive to the half way point just to show that I was in contempt for not showing up How do I make the change legal, when it is only just a one time thing?

make those types of communications via email, or if you live in a one-party consent state, record the phone conversation, it won't help you in the moment but if she takes you to court you have evidence of her shenanigans, and if there is enough of them you have a case angainst her.

she doesnt have a computer so, i was thinking about sending a letter, with the information that she needs to get the letter signed and noterized in agreeance to the change. will that do?

it would....if you could get her to sign it, going that way she is aware that you are on to the games and documenting her going back on her word, so she would be more likely to keep the arrangement made, or not agree at all- either way less stress for you.

You don't need to make her sign it. Just send a letter, certified mail, return receipt, regarding your intent to exercise visitation at a certain date and time. Advise her if she is not in agreement with those dates or times she needs to reply via US mail by a certain date.

what happens if she does not respond and then takes me to court for contempt? Can she? I guess if she does not respond then I go to the place we are court ordered to meet and like you guys said, less stress for all... Im just trying to make it less driving time for the kids. Its not fair that they are stuck in the middle

If she doesn't respond, then that means she is ok with your request, so you show up as expected and if she doesn't produce the kids, then YOU file contempt.

They refused to give me any information again. The ex forged some paperwork and then brought it in to the school. I think I have her though, because they took a copy of the paper.

You attached this to the wrong thread....nobody is going to realize what you are talking about....attach it to your thread that says "school stuff" and then explain what kind of paper she forged.
