well im in a simular boat here , what what happen was i made a misstake and left my kids with there uncle until i could get a stable home for us and it back fired on me . anyways put restraining oder on ex , kept coming around , desided t move but left kids with uncle and grand ma , grandma moved son back in , son went to court told tem i left my kids with him and moved away now he has residental custody . i didnt find out until three months lateer he had custody .anyways his mother is tring to takeover of my son and i think grandmothers shouldnt be able to take there grandchildren unless both parents agree or both parents are dead . they shouldnt have no rigts to tem for crying outloud if they wanted more children to have rights they should give birth. not take over there own child's kids. so i say grandparents shouldnt have rights .

if custody was temp. then you should have no problem getting full custody back. you may want to contact a lawyer for a free consult and see what they recomend you doing though.
