Temp

Guest
I have been working for the same large corporation for a year and a half through a temp agency. This was supposed to be a 2 month assignment. About 5 months into the job I was told that if I wanted to keep the assignment I would have to switch from temp agency A to temp agency B. I did and kept on working. The employee (who was on a medical leave) that I was brought on to do the work for returned twice in the time I was here but has since left the company (she was escorted out of the building one day and hasn't returned). I have never been told how long this assignment will last and have never been offered a perm position. I was given a week's pay in lieu of vacation pay from the temp agency. I receive holiday pay from the temp agency but the company I am working at has most of it's holidays grouped together at Christmas time and I am not paid for those days. I do not receive medical benefits or sick pay. I have little to no contact with the temp agency other than dropping off a time slip each week at the receptionists desk (the receptionist of the company and NOT the temp agency). I am very frustrated with the situation but feel stuck because 1. I do not want to to leave my immediate supervisors with all of the work that needs to be done and 2. the company is paying me more than I could make at another company for the same position. I have been trained on 2 computer systems and have gone on to train others. I am the only person doing most parts of my job. Is there a legal course of action I should be taking to help myself?
