Why is the thread here called tenant issue? My tenant keeps on insisting that I pay for the remaining bills he has (electricity since he gave me a downpayment before) The prob is I already gave him the downpayment. He is also not replying. Can I sue him knowing I am the one paying for his unsettled bills?

You can sue him in small claims court after you have paid what he was supposed to first . until you pay off that utility like if he was to pay a share and he refused to do so , then you wont be financially harmed until its paid.

Please answer the following questions:
1) What state is this in?
2) What does the lease say?
3) Whose name are the utilities in?
