What is the name of your state? TN

My tenant will not allow me to enter the premesis to inspect or repair the drywall damage from a Storm. She's told me her her is sick for over 2 weeks and can't have anybody around him but I know it's just an excuse.

What steps to I take in order to proceed with inspection, and repair? I need to bring contractor inside to repair the ceiling, but she will forcebly refuse entry despite getting proper notice.

Send notice that you are going to be there on X date( notice that complies with what your state requires for non emergency entry ) to evaluate and begin repairs and send it via confirmed mail delivery , if they block entry then do it one more time and show up and if they still refuse then I suggest you look into eviction based on tenant violating your lease since tenant doesnt have the right to deny you the ability to make repairs.

From what does the tenant ail?

Is the inspection and repair of the drywall something that can wait awhile longer until the ill tenant recovers?

Will those doing the inspection and repairs be properly masked and fully vaccinated with a Pfizer, Moderna or J&J vaccine prior to entry?

Here is a link to information on renters and the eviction moratorium in Tennessee, which has been extended through June 30, 2021:

As landlord/property owner you have a legitimate concern in keeping your property safe and well-maintained. But if the ill tenant either has COVID-19 or is in a high risk group making the tenant more vulnerable to the virus, the tenant could have an equally legitimate concern and good reason to block entry. Eviction is not an option right now.
