Hi all
I've got a little problem, I've got a roommate (subtenent)
that i'm sick of and i want to kick him out, I'm the primary tenent on the lease, and he is of course subtenent.
I was wondering if any of you knew the legalities of this in Utah. Do i have the right to kick him out of here or what? How much notice do i have to give? and if you have this information, which law codes apply to this situation?
I appreciate any help. thanks

usually a 30 day notice from the time they normally pay rent, so if you gave notice today and the rent is paid on th 1st then it will be for March 1st.

If you want him out asap.......well YOU should offer to give him back ALL of his securtiy AND pay for his moving expenses.... it will be cheaper then paying a lawyer and missing days from work!

figure it out for yourself.

So, i do have the right to evict him then?

I was planning on giving him 30 days anyway, i can tolerate
the guy for that long (i hope)

If you dont think you can tolerate him till March 1st(or when rent is due) or you think he will turn out to be a royal asssshole and not move...

Then I would consider giving him some money to move to save you a lot of aggrivation.
