What is the name of your state? Tennessee

I need help quick, my cousin filed custody papers that are dated 3-17-06 and has forgot til today he had to give his attorney 100 more dollars for the filing fee. How long are those papers good for? I need this answered as soon as possible. PLEASE!!

Thank you,

Fee

Question is did the lawyer go ahead and file the papers or is he/she waiting on their fees? If the attorney is still waiting on his/her fees than your cousin may simply have to fill out new papers to file. I'm not sure how long they are good for but chances are if they haven't been filed than after 3 months they would want new papers filled out because otherwise the courts would probably wonder what took so long if your cousin is really interested in custody (no offense, I'm just saying it would make you wonder). Good luck!
