What is the name of your state? Illinois
RyLin Holdings, LLC, Mark Happe, Owner. I was hired 04/13/06 to handle the day to day maintenance and rent tasks with all employees reporting. I was called into office on 05/18/06 around 4:00pm and told that my services were no longer needed, to hand over company cell phone and all keys. I did. Ask to leave my address so that my last check would be mailed. No explanation of termination. 05/19/2006 was next paydate and hours worked for that week would be on 05/26/2006 paydate. Neither check has been received. Car in under reposession order with many other bills past due I seek employment. This was "at will" employment but not "at will" pay. Several calls have been made with promises but no payments as of yet. What can be done expeditiously? Need monies. Is a lien on company necessary? What is the name of your state?

Wouldn't it be simpler just to file a complaint of unpaid wages with the state DOL? Why do so many people want to jump straight into a lien on the company?

You are the owner... you were hired.

Were you hired as an independant contractor?

Plus, companies don't start repossession actions on your car until you are several months in arrears. This tells me you weren't paying the car payments when you were getting paid either.
