termination of parental rights HELLPP!!!

What is the name of your state? Alabama
the state is trying to terminate my husbands rights.
they are trying to use abandonment. my husband requested a paternity test, and it took months longer going through the state. since the results we finally recieved visitation we've done everything asked of us and then some, our home study approved, but everything is dragging along... and DHR is using this waiting time against us.... can they do that???? the foster parents are trying to adopt, but no one has given us any help to learn how to fight this. we're fighting for custody, and it seems as though all noses are turned up at us.....any advise on what to do , or where to start????

Go to your local courthouse and file for custody,hire an attorney and fight the state from terminating his rights.Where is BM?

if you get served wiuth any papers, take them to legal aid..they helped us..even if you dont get served call them..they paid for us a great lawyer for custody....good luck
