I have been off work for 6 months with a heart condition, My employer told me to get better and dont worry, I have a job to come back too. Well today I got a registered leter from them that i am terminated. I thought they couoldnt do that while someone is on a medical. Please help!!!!

They possibly can -- but first check your employment agreement, the employee benefit plans, state law, etc. And make sure you COBRA your medical benefits too.

Generally firms can terminate employees, even those on disability. (If you have disability insurance benefits they may continue -- check the insurance contract or state plan.)
