January 1st at roughly 5:30 a.m I was standing outside having a ciggarrette.

My sisters off and on Boyfriend of 16 years of age, was driving circles around our cul-de-sac making loops. Over and over and over.

When I started to approach the car he sped off ramming into my van. He then managed to drive off doing what my cousin called (Swinging) all the way down the street.

(He was swerving from one curb to the other really slow all the way down the street as if to say haha)

I called the police and informed them what happened.

While we were waiting on the police to come I went inside to inform my wife of what was taking place. When I came out I notice my cousin was scuffling with someone who just jumped in a pick-up truck and it was speeding off.

Story I was given was the person who just hit my car and 4 other guys had came back waiving there hands around and the one who hit my car took a swing at my cousin who in turn busted him in the nose.

(small victory)

The police arrived shortly there-after and i explained the entire situation to the officer.

He was telling me due to the minimal damage on my van(it was minimal) that they probably wouldn't go after him for that, but possibly the assault.

While he's talking to me the person mentioned is blowing up my cellphone leaving death threats obviously drunk or high out of his mind. I show the officer and he just tells me to "save it".

We fill out a few statements and the officers go off.

This kid has been a thorn in my side since him and my sister have started going out. He's a known gun dealer, we just can't catch him in the act, a known drug dealer and a pot head. He's what one would call your typical wigger. A 16 year old who thinks he's tupac or slim shady re-incarnated and now he's for whatever reason got his phony gangster self set on me.

This was all very random as I don't even live on the property (it was my mothers house) and we were just visiting for the weekend. Just my luck I suppose.

I'm getting the feeling that nothing is going to be done about the situation and am curious what if anything I should do.

I will go out of my way to get this kid placed behind bars, Juvie, or hell, even boot camp as something needs to wake the little thug up.

On top of it all, a known gun-dealer (the kid mentioned) left a voicemail on my phone telling me how he's going to put us all 6 feet under, him and his boys are gonna come over and kill everyone, yadda yadda yadda. It's about a 2 minute voicemail.

yet the police didn't go pick him up?

I'm half tempted to call them and insist they pick him up as now he's making threats towards me and my family, has proven he will come over, and I'm not going to just sit idly by.

Join the club. It is likely the cops will do nothing. File a civil suit against the guy and/or an order of protection if you wish. Dont expect the gov't to do its job.

You cannot force the police to take action if they do not believe there is probable cause to make the arrest. It may also be that they will be waiting for a DA or Grand Jury to make the indictment.

If the threats rise to the level of a felony, and the suspect is clearly able to be identified (by a callback number or leaving his name), then it should be only a matter of time before an arrest can be made. And if the police are not acting and should be, you can always contact the agency and speak to someone higher up the food chain and ask for some explanation as to why something is not being done.
