I’ve been living in the same place for 3 years, 2.5 years without a lease. My rent goes up 10% annually. Can they do that to just one, or some, people without raising everyone’s rent 10% annually? I feel like it’s a matter of, `Gouge the bachelor, he can afford it since he’s not married’. This may be 100% legal, but it’s 100% wrong!

and why shouldn't they, you have plenty of money, and are not too bright.

Thats why you should ALWAYS have a signed lease, then you will know ahead of time, and can move, if you dont like the new rent.
