It was a good learning experience for Robert. He took the intiative because he was concerned about you (or he or both) getting into legal trouble. In the process he learned a little bit about internet social skills, the law, and about researching information himself. Not a bad thing overall. ;)

Casa,
Is this a reference to something deleted and/or offline? Most of mit1962's posts seem to be complaints about what has happened since and not about her son's legal problems.

mit1962,
You caused most if not all your problems. You need to deal with them constructively rather than blaming everyone else and being so angry.

Okay - I see it. It was further down than I remembered it being. For *that* I apologize. But only for that.

This is your thread but you have provided no facts and deleted other posts. Right now, you are in this fight all alone, everyone has found against you and you are not doing your son any favors being so oppositional, deleting posts makes you look very guilty and manipulative at best. It is very telling when your attorney doesn't agree with you and you won't listen. What do you expect to get by demonstrating that you cannot be trusted to tell the truth or obey the rules of society?

Page 2 of the C&V board. I was thinking I posted to Robert yesterday evening, but it was in the morning. So I didn't look further down.

I was talking about what her son had written me, combined with her apology today. I think her son (though admittedly unaware of the confusion of double-posting) behaved admirably when confronted with internet courtesy- took responsibility and has learned some valuable lessons along the way.

Who deleted the posts?
Robert's name isn't mentioned anywhere here. What is going on here?

You have deleted at least 3 or more posts, here are the proofs from 3 of them.

NO, it is unlikely IL would give up jurisdiction simply because you are uncooperative and unhappy with the GAL's findings. You moved away and in doing so, created this problem.

Here are 2 of the posts you deleted this morning from this thread, notice we quoted them so it is clear that you deleted them this morning.

Which part of DO NOT HIJACK A THREAD is difficult to understand? Either resurrect your previous thread, or start another w/the relevant information. But don't make us dig around for it. If your situation is boring to YOU, it's a hundred times more so to us. Your son showed better sense.

In other words this particular GAL has not got a clue as to what is in the "best interest" of a toad let alone a child, when I first spoke to him by phone, he made the comment to me that "yeah he understands divorce, he had just complete his own and it was messy, she got everything including the kids", I still had an attorney and told he about this conversation and asked to have the GAL removed, she REFUSED, say he was a good guy and it would be fine, tried to get judge to remove him on this bases and was met with the same answer.
yeah report is in favor of my ex, only because of the courts allowing GAL's to file undocumented, reports with LITTLE OR NO true investigations by someone who would actually know what is in the best interest of a child.

There may be a few good GAL's out their but I seriously doubt it!!!

Please don't hijack a thread, if you want to ask a question, start your own thread. You don't even give your state, so there is no way to address your complaint. You are angry because you don't like the results. No you don't have to agree to the appointment of a GAL, most likely that is why your ex asked for one to be appointed because you would not cooperate and why your attorney alowed it because you are not cooperating with them either, so it sounds like a good call. Learn to follow rules and you might get better results.

In OP's case they agreed to it if you read their question instead of hijacking the thread.
Please quit playing games

rmet~ Clarification: Robert told me his name in separate correspondence from this thread. He really does seem to be a young adult feeling very caught in the middle. The parents have essentially put him there (and there have been past behavior issues on BOTH of their watches- though Robert has been keeping his nose clean, in therapy and focusing on school to help HIS end of the situation) The parents here seem intent on a fight....and IMO it's shameful the mother is even considering and discussing avoiding court orders with the son, just as it is shameful the father has not stood up and been supportive to help his son in his efforts to learn from these events and turn his life around- but instead used the opportunity to begin litigation with the mother.

I can certainly see why a GAL was assigned to this case. I only wish a psych. eval. had also been ordered on all parties.

I actually have a fair bit of respect for the kid. Too bad he's stuck with the parents he's got.
