What is the name of your state? KY

After scouring the internet for what seems like hours, I still have no answer. Does this law exist in Kentucky? So far, Missouri is the only state I can find with this law.

When you're 17, you're allowed to marry your sister, instead of just your first cousin. ;)

If you have no idea what the 17 law is, why even make a visit to my thread? but here goes....the 17 law, in Missouri, states that there is no legal recourse for a 17 year old runway, they can leave home anytime they want to and the parent(s) have no say in the matter.

The reason that you can't find it is because it doesn't exist. The age of majority in KY is 18, 19 if still in HS.

KY MIGHT be one of those states where a loophole in the runaway laws do not permit the police to forcibly return a 17-year-old to their home, but that takes far more research than I am willing to do.

Call your local police department and ask them if they would hogtie and carry a 17-year-old home if he ran away and refused to return.

And why these kids want to run away and have to make their own way earlier than they have to is beyond me.

Well gee, just because we don't know your pet name for some law (that doesn't exist), I guess that means I had better just throw away this law degree on my wall here.

Maybe when you're done running away, you can come by and pick it up. It would make a lovely end table.
