What is the name of your state? Illinois

ok here is my question. i owned a buisness in the state of Indiana i closed it after one month, of operation because of the insurance requirements and the lack of funding. i sent the state the required documents to close file. the state did not comply. this went into a computerized que and continued to grow over a few years. i pulled my credit report in 2006 and found the listingsi disputed them because i didn't recongnize the files. it took months for me to locate all the correct information with the state. after i did so and we reviewed all the files it was brought to my attention that the state never reported this issue to the CBR the credit reporting agency Trans union based here in chicago hire a third party to go out and find the information and post it. after contacting them with all the information they sent me a message that stated they were going to delete the files then changed thier minds, they can't validate the information because they have no control the state of indiana refuses to write me a letter to them because they feel that they didn't report it so why do they have to explain it, trans union refuses to release the name of the party the did in fact report this information to them. can i sue for defermation. What is the name of your state?
