?HELP?

MY BOYFRIEND AND I ARE DECIDING TO GET MARRIED NEXT YEAR. I HAVE A CHILD FROM A PREVIOS RELEATION SHIP. I HAVE NOT SEEN OR HEARD FROM HIM IN THREE YEARS(I STILL LIVE IN THE SAME PLACE AND HAVE THE SAME PHONE NUMBER SO THERE IS NO REASON HE HSA FOR NOT SEEING HIS DAUGHTER) HE HEARD THROUGH MUTUAL FRIENDS THAT I AM GETTING MARRIED. NOW AFTER THREE YEARS OF NOTHING HE WANTS BACK INTO MY DAUGHTERS LIFE AND MINE.(I HAVE NEVER GOT ANY KIND OF SUPPORT FROM HIM EVER) I TOLD HIM I DO NOT WANT ANY THING TO DO WITH HIM. MY BOYFREIND TREATS MY DAUGHTER LIKE SHE WAS HIS OWN, ONE DAY HE WANT TO ADOPT HER SO SHE WILL HAVE THE SAME LAST NAME AS ME AND HIM AND IF WE DECIDE TO HAVE ANT CHILDREN TOGETHER. MY EX TOLD ME HE WILL NEVER SIGN THE PAPER TO DO THAT, THAT HE WILL ALWAYS BE IN MY LIFE TO MAKE IT A LIVING HELL. IF HE WAS A GOOD FATHER TO HER I WOLUD NOT STAND IN THE WAY BUT HE WAS WALKED OUT ON US THREE YEARS AGO AND NEVER LOOKED BACK ON TILL NOW. WHAT CAN I DO TO PREVENT HIM FROM BEING IN MY LIFE FOR GOOD????

Well this is not legal advice just an honest opinion. Maybe if you talked to him and tell him that he has a couple of choices in the matter.
1. He can get out of your life and stay out.
2. or, you can take him to court and get child support and medical on your daughter and more then likely he will have to pay support going back the three years he hasnt beenaround.
Give him the option. If he is sincere in wanting to be a father to his child then maybe you should let him. After all it is his child.

Wow, I think I actually agree with you on that Tx. Now you know me and how I feel about "being in it just for the money". However, in this particular case if the boyfriend is truly sincere then he would except the financial responsability as well as the parenting. But if he is only looking to make *HELPS* life hell, I would think the minute he has to pay he won't want to play. He would probably disappear without a peep.
Don't you think? <BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial">quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by TxBlu:
