What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA

We are in middle of divorce. Court has temporary ruling for support, custody etc.

Court also ordered mediation, but didn't specify when.

It has been 4 months, I want get things going.

I filled the forms, and asked a friend to mail my wife form FL-150 income and expense declaration, FL-142 Schedule of assets and debts, FL-140, FL -141 Declarations; Also bank statements, 401K statements etc. It was sent as certificated mail, so I know she hasn't picked it up yet. (Possible she won't, and eventually return to me, will it be a trouble?)

Then I file FL-141, FL-150, and "At-Issue memorandum for trial setting" with bottom portion is "declaration of service by mail" which signed by my friend, to the court. Court accepted them all.

At the court filing window, I bought 2 postage paid envelops, and wrote my address and my wife address on it. And the deputy took envelops.

One week later, I receive the envelop from court, and "At Issue Memorandum" I filed, wiith court stamp "FILED" on it, and the other envelop, empty with my wife address I wrote on it.

Is the court want I mail the copy to her? Why the court make me buy envelops with postage at window, written her address on it, and didn't mail it to her court itself?

I also expect there is some instruction, notice or date in the mail. Nothing, just one paper I filed, and empty envelop. What is going to happen next?

When I was in the court, the clerk in self helper center told me, since neither of us has lawyer, the court will arrange a meeting, a volunteer lawyer will help us. Is that going to happen automatically?

And since the court ordered mediation, I also called its office. The gentlemen, quite nice, but told me the court does not order specific date, so he can not make an appointment for me. I need get a date from judge first.

What do I suppose to do next? How to get things going? Any other form I need file? What about my wife never give me of file her Schedule of assets and debts etc? Actually we don't have much assets, I just want things going.

Thanks a lot & every one have a good new year!

Why not simply go back to the self-help center and ask?

I went to self helper center 3 times, each time get different answers. So I was hoping get better answer here, or at least verify with what I was told in helper center.
