What is the name of your state? washington

my friend was recently arrested in a known store for pocketing a lipstick costs $6.60. Since she had no IDs with her the police was informed about her arrest. She cooperated with the authorities from the very start and she was released after being barred from the mall and the store. the police was kind and told her that there will be a hearing and she'll be summoned to appear in court after a month. The real problem is she is an illegal alien. What can she do?

Maybe not. There are lots of very liberal folks out there that seem to overlook the issue of someone being here 'without valid permission' is a criminal act.
However, since she DID commit ANOTHER criminal act (shoplifting), it is likely that she will be 'returned'.

Maybe not. There are lots of very liberal folks out there that seem to overlook the issue of someone committing ANOTHER criminal act while being here 'without valid permission' if they are from Mexico.
