Recently, while being pulled over for a speeding ticket, I was given a summons dating back to 1998. The summons was for theft by deception for a $2.50 check. I had no clue this was going on. It is now the year 2000. Why did no one contact me about this? This is my first offense of any kind, and I am a law abiding citizen. Is there any way I can take care of this out of court (and keep my record clean)? Thank you for your time.

If this is true....then ANY of the local tv stations consumer or action reporters would love this one......a summons for $2.50
