Embarrassed by their incompetence

Thanks for your answer. The sad thing is they continued the lie-saying I was paranoid/going crazy and COMPOUNDED that issue.

When confronted instead of being truthful at my hurt They yelled "prove it" while they threw gifts I had given them- out on the lawn- at the command of their mom-like afraid adult children.

I would not do that to an enemy and sure not a friend.

This has been a therapeutic post and will not bring it up again.

Unless a court case of a different matter does -in which it will be brought up in a separate civil proceeding.
