I was in a automobile accident while I was on the job. I would like to know if my lawyer can recover one third from my worker's compensation claim and One third from the third party the auto driver? In other words, I signed for him to get one third of whatever is recovered. Does he get money from me for both?

I am a law school graduate. What I offer is mere information, not to be construed as forming an attorney client relationship.

Very scary you don't know what you signed with your attorney.

You basically agreed for him to get 1/3 of the total recovery -- so if you get 99,000 total recovery in a judgment by the court, your lawyer would get 33,000.
